Now that the kids are back in school it is time to get busy with more Halloween Patterns.

Say Boo! Ghost Scarf

Materials needed:

5.0 mm crochet hook

700 yards of worsted weight yarn

Scissors

Yarn needle

This pattern is written in US terms

Stitches used:

CH = Chain

SC = Single Crochet

HDC = Half Double Crochet

Bobble = Half Double Crochet Bobble

Special Stitch:

Half Double Crochet Bobble stitch: This stitch is worked from the wrong side.  Yarn over, pick up a loop in stitch, draw through first 2 loops on hook, you will still have 2 loops on hook, yarn over, pull up loop, draw through first two loops on hook, you will have 3 loops left on hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, draw through first two loops on hook, you will have 4 loops on hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, draw through first two loops on hook, yarn over draw through all 5 loops on hook. Bobble stitch is now complete.

Pattern Notes:

The chain 1 does not count as a stitch in this pattern

I chose to use worsted weight yarn because I made this scarf for my 17 year old son. He is around 6ft tall and this scarf if king enough for him to wrap around a few times. I would suggest using a lighter weight yarn and a smaller hook if you are making this for a child. I would also change the HDC (non bobble stitch) rows to a SC instead.
