Special Stitch:

Yarn over, pick up a loop in stitch, draw through first 2 loops on hook, you will still have 2 loops on hook, yarn over, pull up loop, draw through first two loops on hook, you will have 3 loops left on hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, draw through first two loops on hook, you will have 4 loops on hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, draw through first two loops on hook, yarn over draw through all 5 loops on hook. Bobble stitch is now complete.

Pattern Notes:

1. This pattern is worked in rounds from the top down

2. Unlike my other bobble stitch patterns there is no chain 1 at the start of each round

If you are more comfortable chaining 1 and then please do so. Do not count that chain 1 as a stitch

3. You will be joining each round with a slip stitch

4. For the first 8 rounds you are not turning after each round

5. The first 8 rounds are increasing the hat size by 8 stitches in each round. When you see

“2 HDC” it means that you will be putting 2 HDC into the same stitch

6. When you see (HDC) x 2 (or any other number) it means that you are making a HDC into

the next 2 (3, 4, etc.) consecutive stitches. Not into the same stitch.
